I bought the Saddlelight this past weekend at the Equine Affaire in Pomona. Last night I walked around the entire L.A. Equestrian Center. I wore the light on my fanny pack, as I was hand-walking my horse. None of the other horses seemed to mind, whether they were coming up from behind or coming towards us. The horses in the barn could care less about the light at all. I'm so thrilled. I've been telling everyone I know about it. I can't wait to try it next Wednesday when I ride my horse around the Center. I'll let you know how it goes. The trail was well lit up and we walked beautifully! Thank you for a wonderful product, which will allow me to have more riding time with my horse AND in a safe manner. Happy Trails!
We did our trail ride around the Los Angeles Equestrian Center last night. The light was easy to put on my Australian breast collar. Banjo wore it like he's worn it 1,000 times before. No problem. The trail was so dark. I don't think there was a moon out last night. It was pitch black around there. But with my Saddlelight, the trail was lit so we could see every step of the way. I rode and my sister hand-walked her horse. They both did really well. I had to ride between 20 rental horses tied up on both sides of the trail at Viva's Restaurant. They were from Sunset Ranch doing their dinner ride. We had to ride behind the butts of all those horses. I told them we were "comin through with a light". They could care less!! I'm so happy!!!!! Thank you for a fabulous product. Every rider should have one for their horse :)
Heidi Nyland evaluated Saddlelights for Trail Rider Magazine and said "The light spread far enough ahead to take the fear out of riding into the darkness" and "This little power-chocked accessory is great to help keep you safe on the trail, feel calm when your riding at night, or just to have if you need a mighty flashlight accessible during an overnight trek"
Kathleen McFarren, Editor of Ride! magazine liked our Saddlelights so much she bough the Saddlelight Safety Kit for herself! Kathleen added
"I love how the lights work, and they're such high-quality products. The headlight on the front of the breast collar didn't seem to bother the other riders because the light was aimed at the ground in front of my horse" She then added "At one point during one of the rides, I dismounted and walked my horse down a narrow, brushy trail where snakes and other critters of the night could have been lurking. The headlight helped me clearing see where I was stepping"
Here is what a mounted volunteer law enforcement officer had to say!
"The first time I used my Saddlelight was at our local fair. I placed the Saddlelight on my breast collar and my little red light was placed on the back of my saddle. So their could not be any mistake that I could not be seen in the dark. Well its paid off, my horse and I did not go with out notice. It drew a crowd before I knew it. I had so many comments about how far we could be seen in a dark parking lot. I noticed cars had slowed down before they approached us. I like the fact that I can be seen and that gives me comfort. Thank you for all the hard work in making such a great product. I plan to tell all my horse friends about it. I don't leave home without it. - Teri
"On a recent trail ride, I stayed out longer than expected and returned home in the dark. I was riding a grey horse and had to cross a busy road. I was more confident knowing I had my Saddlelight and vehicle could see me. I never take my Saddlelight off my breast collar. I never know when I may need it. Donna - Lake Hughes, CA
Norco California is the home to George's famous camel "Matilda". George raised the Australian camel from a one day old baby and now they are seen on Norco's trails and streets almost daily. George wanted a Saddlelight to make sure that they would be seen in the dark. However were pretty sure they have no trouble being spotted during the day!!!
Thanks George. We get a lot of opportunities to work with some fine horses but this was the first camel
